Pregnancy Massage
Prenatal massage is tailored to support the musculoskeletal changes that occur during pregnancy. Muscle fibers and fascia in the back, hips, legs, and shoulders are gently lengthened, while circulation is enhanced to reduce fluid retention and relieve swelling. Postural shifts caused by a growing abdomen place additional stress on the spine and pelvis, which the therapist addresses to restore alignment and ease discomfort. The nervous system is calmed, reducing stress and promoting relaxation for mother and baby.
This therapy benefits pregnant clients at any stage (with physician approval for high-risk pregnancies) who want relief from discomfort, swelling, or tension.
During a session, you’ll lie in side-lying or specially cushioned positions for safety and comfort. The therapist uses gentle, flowing techniques to relax muscles, mobilize fascia, and reduce strain. Sessions leave you feeling lighter, more comfortable, and relaxed.
